Website Settings
Before you can use Driftrock's website forms, conversion tracking, or marketing attribution tools, you need to install the Driftrock script on your website. Website Settings is the central control panel for this setup, giving you everything you need to go live in one place.
What is Website Settings?
Website Settings is the section of Driftrock (found under Settings > Website) where you install and manage the core Driftrock JavaScript script. This script enables all of Driftrock's web-based features on your site, including website lead capture forms, marketing tracking, and conversion pixel firing.
From this page you can whitelist your domains, choose how to install the script (via Google Tag Manager or direct code), and enable features like website forms and website event tracking. You can also enter your GTM container ID to fire ad platform pixels when a form is submitted.
The Website Settings page is only visible to users with Admin permission in your Driftrock account.
Why use Website Settings?
Setting up the Driftrock script once through Website Settings removes the need for separate developer work each time you want to add a new form, change a tracking parameter, or add a pixel trigger. Everything is managed from a single screen.
Once the script is live, you can launch new Driftrock website forms, enable cookie-compliant tracking, and connect conversion pixels without touching your website code again. This speeds up campaign activation and reduces your team's dependency on development resources for ongoing marketing work.
How it works
When you enable the integration and add your domains, Driftrock generates a unique JavaScript snippet with an API key tied to your account. This snippet, once installed on your site, initialises the platform on every page listed in your domain whitelist. It verifies the domain using the API key and then makes the features you have enabled available.
You can turn individual features on and off using toggles:
Widgets controls whether Driftrock website forms are allowed to render on your site.
Website Events enables additional tracking of user actions, such as UTM capture and click ID recording, which enriches your leads with marketing attribution data.
If you are using Google Tag Manager, you can enter your GTM container ID so that Driftrock events (such as a form submission) can be used as triggers for your ad platform pixels.
Driftrock's script respects your cookie consent setup. If you are using OneTrust, Cookiebot, Consentmanager, or any IAB TCF v2 compatible Consent Management Platform (CMP), the script will only fire cookies after consent is granted by the user.
Getting started
You need Admin access in Driftrock to complete this setup.
Log in to Driftrock and navigate to Settings, then select Website from the left-hand menu.
Toggle Integration to ON.
Enter your domain or domains in the Domain field. Include both the www and non-www versions of each domain (for example, driftrock.com and www.driftrock.com), separated by a comma.
Choose your installation method: Google Tag Manager or Custom Website.
Copy the generated script shown on the page.
Install the script on every page of your website. For GTM users, add it as a tag triggered on all pages.
Return to Website Settings and enable the features you want to use:
Toggle on Widgets to allow Driftrock forms to appear on your site.
Toggle on Website Events to capture marketing attribution data (UTMs, click IDs).
If you want Driftrock to fire ad platform pixels via GTM on form submission, enter your GTM Container ID in the field provided.
Tips for getting the most out of Website Settings
Always include both the www and non-www versions of your domain. A missing variant is the most common reason forms or tracking fail to load on some pages.
If you cannot see the Website option in your Settings navigation, check that your user account has Admin permission. Your account owner can update this under Settings > Users.
If you are using a consent management platform not listed above, contact your Driftrock account manager to confirm compatibility before going live.
