Driftrock Standard Fields (Added)

Edited

Driftrock Standard Fields are a pre-built set of named fields available in every account from the moment it is set up. By mapping your incoming campaign data to Standard Fields during the capture build process, you ensure that all lead data flowing through Driftrock is consistent, correctly labelled, and ready for reporting and CRM delivery without manual cleanup.

What are Driftrock Standard Fields?

Standard Fields are found under Settings, then Field Settings. They cover core contact details (name, email, phone), vehicle information (model, powertrain, body type), finance preferences, marketing consent flags, part exchange data, and more. When you build or edit a capture, the field selector shows Standard Fields separately from any Custom Fields you have created.

Rather than creating a new field each time an incoming form question does not match an existing name, you select the most relevant Standard Field from the list. All leads processed through that capture then arrive with the same field name and structure, regardless of how the question was worded in the original form.

Why use Driftrock Standard Fields?

When leads arrive from different channels — Meta, TikTok, Google, a website form, a partner webhook — the field names often differ. Without normalisation, your CRM receives inconsistent data: "phone" from one source, "mobile" from another, "contact_number" from a third. This makes reporting unreliable and pushes the burden of data cleaning to the end of the pipeline.

Standard Fields move normalisation to the point of capture. The result is that all data flowing into Driftrock reporting dashboards, CRM connections, and automations already uses the same schema, so comparisons across channels are meaningful and CRM field mapping only needs to be configured once.

How it works

Standard Fields are pre-configured in every Driftrock account under Settings, then Field Settings. No additional setup is needed to make them available.

When you build a new capture, you reach a mapping stage where each incoming field from the form or campaign is matched to a destination field.

The field selector shows Standard Fields and Custom Fields as separate groups.

For each incoming field, you select the most relevant Standard Field (for example, a "What is your budget?" question maps to the Finance and Payment Information standard field).

Once the capture is live, all incoming leads are normalised to the selected Standard Fields before being routed or delivered to your connected CRM.

Standardised data is available in Driftrock dashboards for segmentation and channel performance comparisons.

Getting started

Go to Settings, then Field Settings, to review the available Standard Fields and understand what each one covers.

When building a new capture (or editing an existing one), proceed to the Mapping step.

For each incoming field in your form or campaign, open the destination field selector and choose the most relevant Standard Field.

If no Standard Field covers a specific data point, create a Custom Field instead — the data will still flow through to Driftrock dashboards.

Save and activate the capture. All leads will be normalised on arrival.

Tips for getting the most out of Driftrock Standard Fields

Review your existing Custom Fields periodically to check whether any now have a corresponding Standard Field, especially after Driftrock releases new additions. Using Standard Fields wherever possible ensures your reporting stays clean as you add new capture sources over time. If you notice data appearing inconsistently in dashboards, check your capture mappings and update any Custom Fields that should be pointing to a Standard Field instead.
